InvestmentNews recently announced that The Planning Center is on their “Best Places to Work for Financial Advisors” list for 2020.
This means that TPC is one of the 75 top firms based on employer and employee surveys that evaluated company culture, benefits, career paths and more. It was an honor to share this wonderful news in our weekly staff meeting especially as our teams have shifted to working in our basements, guest bedrooms and wherever else we can find space to balance our family needs and professional tasks. The news gave us a reason to reflect on how we work together remotely to support our clients that we are fortunate to serve.
Liz Skinner with InvestmentNews explains the achievement of being added to this list: “The businesses that achieved a spot on this list scored highest among their peers when it comes to quality of leadership, work-life balance, pay and benefits, and internal practices. While the survey was conducted before the coronavirus changed the logistics of the workday, the factors that drove the winners continue to hold water even as most of us work daily from our family rooms and kitchens”.
Like so many of our clients, working at home makes us thankful for technology. As a firm with 7 offices around the country working remotely has been part of our culture for years and I hope you are seeing that in the service you receive. You might have a planner In Minneapolis, a tax team member in Moline, somebody helping with an investment account in Chicago, and a planner answering questions about your (or your kids’) student loans in Tulsa. The ability for us to all work together to serve one goal has taken more steps forward over the last 8 weeks and we’re excited to watch that growth continue.
COVID-19 has certainly challenged the world in personal and professional ways. Being able to share this good news certainly gave the TPC team an extra boost as we juggle working with children on our laps and our dogs barking at the delivery man during client calls. We are proud of how our team has adapted and being added to the “Best Places to Work list” reaffirms that we are meeting our team members needs and living our values, which are:
- Forward-Looking: We make decisions today with future generations in mind.
- Wisdom: We learn and teach continuously.
- Collaboration: We build powerful relationships by working towards common goals.
- Objectivity: We listen and keep an open mind.
- Responsibility: We hold ourselves accountable for pursuing the highest standards.
Thank you for allowing us to be of service! And if you or anyone you know is interested in joining our team, we are hiring. Please visit our careers page for a list of open positions and send applications to info@theplanningcenter.com. We look forward to hearing from you!
