Cicily talks about the importance of emotions in the process of making financial decisions. While much of our work is technical planning and analysis, it is the personal side of planning that drives change. Cicily explains that it is important to first talk about what is going on in life before plotting out a course of action.
Marty Martin who has authored The Inner World of Money: Taking Control of Your Financial Decisions and Behaviors and Taming Disruptive Behavior shares his insights on how he has seen emotions portrayed in spending decisions. He talks about creating a safe space to be vulnerable and talk about the issues that need addressing.
