As the president of The Planning Center, I am responsible for the daily management of the firm. My long-term goal for the firm is to continue building a team of talented financial planners and staff who are ready to serve successive generations of families. I want our firm and its lead planners to be a resource in the community that people can turn to and trust for solutions to their problems. In my work with clients, my focus is working with business owners and executives with complex planning needs and goals, such as those with significant or irregular incomes.

“If you are losing faith in human nature, go out and watch a marathon.” [Katherine Switzer]

Outside of work, the bulk of my time is spent with my wife Laura, and our two children, Maddox and Kennon. You’re likely to find us playing a game of some sort, spending time outdoors, or at a church or school activity. Running and cycling are my two favorite hobbies, so if you want some time on the calendar, lace up your running shoes or pump up the tires on your bike, and we’ll go have a good conversation about life and living.

Who inspires me: My father and mother, who they were as people and what they were able to achieve during their lifetimes amazes me. Their work ethic and perseverance in the midst of all the transitions that life threw at them still guides me today on how to live a life well lived.

My life’s biggest milestone: The opportunity to marry my best friend and create an amazing life together.

Favorite destination: It’s not a destination, it’s spending time with those I care about. The location or activity is secondary.

My favorite thing(s): Going for a run with Laura, especially when our kids ride their bikes along with us.

Why I love what I do: I enjoy helping others build bridges from what is to what could be, helping them pursue what matters the most in life. Whether I’m meeting with clients or working with a team member to create solutions, I get to spend most of the day in my sweet spot.
